We wouldn’t be without our linings. We see them as a way to bring a garment to life and set it aside from the mainstream. You can carefully tailor a classic jacket to meet all sorts of formal constraints but then fit a thoroughly anarchic or flamboyant lining just to celebrate being you. Which we suggest you do, at all opportunities. Our vintage blue floral jacquard lining fabric is a fabulous addition to our range of jacquard linings which will bring luxury and style to your garments.
What kind of fabric is this?
This vintage blue floral jacquard lining fabric is a medium-weight lining, appropriate for skirts, dresses, half-lined trouser, jackets and coats. It has a discreet arching floral pattern woven into the fabric. It is a blend of viscose and polyester, with a very slight ease across the width of the fabric which means it will work with outer fabrics which also have a little stretch. If you’re in any doubt about the suitability of this lining for your garment then as always, just drop us a line to discuss or request a free sample.
What does this fabric feel like?
This is a lining with a very smooth satin-like handle. It will be cool and comfortable next to the skin.
How does this fabric move?
Our vintage blue floral jacquard lining fabric has an elegant ripple and falls into folds. It isn’t quite a fluid satin; it holds a little shape but isn’t a stiff fabric to work with by any means. You can see how it moves and drapes in this video.
Viscose, polyester, elastane
Lined garments should be dry- or spot-cleaned since the outer garment fabric may respond differently to washing. See our Fabric care pages for more information.
