This silk organza pressing cloth can be used to protect your fabric during the pressing process. Simply place it over the area being pressed and use your iron on the setting that you would usually deploy for the type of fabric you’re pressing.
The silk organza pressing cloth will help prevent your work from being over-pressed; it will also help prevent shine and scorch marks but you’ll be still be able to see and control the layers underneath the cloth while you’re pressing.
Be aware that if you wouldn’t usually use steam on the fabric being pressed, the silk organza pressing cloth won’t prevent water marks, although spraying the organza cloth lightly with a small amount of water can help the pressing process.
You can also use the silk organza pressing cloth when applying fusible interfacing, but if you do, then ensure you don’t then use the same cloth for pressing a garment as there may be glue residue on the pressing cloth.
NOTE: For any fabric, always test a scrap of fabric with the silk organza pressing cloth before pressing your actual fabric or garment.
