We wouldn’t be without our linings. We see them as a way to bring a garment to life and set it aside from the mainstream. You can carefully tailor a classic jacket to meet all sorts of formal constraints but then fit a thoroughly anarchic or flamboyant lining just to celebrate being you. Which we suggest you do, at all opportunities. Our elegant oyster acetate jacquard lining fabric is a welcome addition to our range of jacquard linings which will bring luxury and style to your garments. The shade of oyster here is a warm one; a colour hovering somewhere between palest pink, stone and cream.
What kind of fabric is this?
This oyster acetate jacquard lining fabric is 100% acetate, a fibre derived from cellulose. It’s a medium-weight lining, appropriate for skirts, dresses, half-lined trousers, softly-tailored jackets and lighter-weight coats. It has an interwoven, classic-styled pattern woven into the fabric. If you’re in any doubt about the suitability of this lining for your garment then as always, just drop us a line to discuss or request a free sample.
What does this fabric feel like?
This is a lining with a crisp, smooth satin-like handle. It will be cool and comfortable next to the skin.
How does this fabric move?
Our oyster acetate jacquard lining fabric has an elegant ripple and falls into rounded folds. It isn’t a fluid lining; it holds a little shape but isn’t a stiff fabric to work with by any means.

Fabric preparation & care
Lined garments should be dry- or spot-cleaned since the outer garment fabric may respond differently to washing. Use a cool iron to press. See our Fabric care pages for more information.
