Welcome to our Ogden Cami Kit! This simple, classic pattern is a relatively easy make and we guarantee that once you’ve made one, you won’t want to stop there…
Our Cami Kit uses the Ogden Cami Pattern by True/Bias. It’s a pattern that’s become a summer staple since it was released, with a soft ‘V’ neckline at front and back, draping from simple rouleau straps. It’s constructed with a half-lining inside which also creates a neatly-finished neckline. The pattern instructions are very straight-forward and include guidance on stay-stitching the neckline and armholes as well as under-stitching the lining, for a stable and refined finish.
We’re delighted to be offering our Cami Kit in both the original size range of 0-18, as well as the brand-new extended size range of 14-30. This larger-sized pattern incorporates side bust darts as well as wider straps that will cover a bra strap.
We’re offering our Ogden Cami Kit in a range of finely-woven viscose (aka rayon) fabrics. A mix of plain-woven and crepe-de-chine fabrics, they’re all breathable and cool to wear in hot weather. These are all lighter-weight fabrics and have drape and movement that work well with the Ogden Cami pattern.
Find out more about each fabric option by clicking on the relevant link below.
(Please note – stock levels displayed on separate fabric pages relate to cut length availability – kit availability is different, shown when you select a Cami Kit option above. Also, some of our images have been provided by True/Bias and therefore use fabrics different from those we’re offering!)
Pattern selection & sizing
The sizing for the Ogden Cami is split across two versions of the pattern as follows:
This is the original pattern version, with narrower straps and no bust dart. It’s based on a B-cup bust. (Note: Cup size doesn’t refer to UK bra sizes, but the difference between the upper and lower chest measurements. Find out more here).
This is the extended size version, with a side bust dart and wider straps. It’s based on a C-cup bust. (Note: Cup size doesn’t refer to UK bra sizes, but the difference between the upper and lower chest measurements. Find out more here).
You’ll notice that there’s an overlap in the sizing; sizes 14-18 are available in both versions. If you fall into this size range, then you can choose either pattern version. We’d suggest using the extended size version if you prefer to conceal your bra straps and/or if you have a fuller bust.
