We wouldn’t be without our linings. We see them as a way to bring a garment to life and set it aside from the mainstream. You can carefully tailor a classic jacket to meet all sorts of formal constraints but then fit a thoroughly anarchic or flamboyant lining just to celebrate being you. Which we suggest you do, at all opportunities. Our soft pistachio stretch viscose lining fabric is the latest addition to our range of linings which bring breathability as well as style to your garments. This is an elegant lining which packs a bit of punch on the colour front with a lustrous finish and a smooth, crisp handle. The shade of bronze here leans towards a chestnut brown, but less red.
What kind of fabric is this?
Our glowing bronze stretch viscose lining fabric is a 97% viscose lining with 3% elastane providing about 10% stretch capacity. It’s a light-to-medium-weight lining, appropriate for skirts, dresses, half-lined trousers and jackets. It’s woven in a close, plain weave pattern. If you’re in any doubt about the suitability of this lining for your garment then as always, just drop us a line to discuss or to ask for a free sample.
What does this fabric feel like?
This is a lining with a smooth, crisp handle. It will be cool and comfortable next to the skin.
How does this fabric move?
This bronze stretch viscose lining drapes nicely and falls into angled folds. It isn’t a fluid fabric; it holds a little shape but isn’t a stiff fabric to work with by any means.

Fabric preparation & care
Lined garments should be dry- or spot-cleaned since the outer garment fabric may respond differently to washing. Use a cool iron. See our Fabric care pages for more information.
