If you’re up for a little inner flamboyance then our shot red and gold paisley lining fabric will feed your fantasies. Rich burgundy warp threads are interwoven with a burnished gold weft yarn to create a delicate paisley pattern that’s shot through with light.
The job of a lining is to finish the interior of a garment in a way which makes it comfortable to wear, enhance the drape and fit as well as make it easier to put on and take off. Beyond that, we’re firm believers at ClothSpot that if a garment’s worth lining, then it’s worth lining with style, individuality and a sense of luxury. Our shot red and gold paisley lining fabric checks all of these boxes and more – and will bring your garment to life from the inside out.
We’ve a constant watch for supplies of linings such as this gold paisley lining fabric since there are few things we appreciate more than an enigmatic glimpse of something delectable shimmering from within a flapping coat or draping jacket. This is a lining that will light up a formal black garment and will work too with browns, reds and other warm, earthy colours as well as teal blues and rich purples.
We know that this fabric is a combination of viscose and polyester – we’re assuming somewhere around the 50-50 mark although we can’t be certain. However there should be enough viscose here to give some breatheability; certainly it helps with the lively drape of this fabric. It has a smooth, satin-like but slightly crisp handle – not stiff in any way – but it holds peaks and rolls when piled up rather than collapsing into a flat heap. We’d say that our shot gold paisley lining fabric was a good medium-weight lining – a match for all but the heaviest of coats, as well as jackets and other lined separates.
