Our pewter and teal green printed peachskin fabric is, we think, the stuff of fairy tales. We imagine snowy scenes and forests, grown-up fairy tales and just maybe an English narrative over an eastern-European language accompanied by a theme from a 60s TV series.
This is a lighter-weight peachskin fabric with a tissue-like handle – yet it’s perfectly stable not at all slippery. It’s one of those fabrics which we’ll excuse for being a polyester since we think it’s just the loveliest print, a soft handle and moves with elegance Our teal green printed peachskin fabric has a wonderful drape; rippling beautifully given the opportunity as you can see in this video.
With that in mind, we’re looking at tops and tunics that make the most of this enigmatic teal green printed peachskin fabric. Despite its light weight, it has decent opacity, helped by the dark shades and the print pattern. A top or blouse should simply require a little thought as to undergarments; a dress however would need a lining or a slip. Gathers, folds and drapes will all play to the strengths of this pewter and teal green printed peachskin fabric. We have our eye on this simple Chiffon Blouse pattern from BurdaStyle.
Finally, you might like to note that our teal green printed peachskin fabric looks quite lovely with our ‘Javorina’ teal green viscose jersey fabric – the shade of green in the peachskin is slightly deeper but tones perfectly. Just in case you’re planning some layering.
Wash at 30 or 40 degrees – see our Fabric care pages for more information.
