‘Autumn’s in the air’ turquoise-flowered fabric
Lighter-weight, softly-draping turquoise-flowered fabric with an autumnal colour palette. Perfect for cross-season tops and tunics we think.

Sometimes we have a fabric that one reason or another, appeals to us but we can’t quite put our finger on why. Then suddenly we get a delivery and everything falls into place. Such is the case with this turquoise-flowered fabric. We’ve been eyeing it for release but we weren’t convinced how to make it work. Then our recent finely-woven cotton drills arrived, bringing with them some autumnal shades and suddenly our floaty little print sprang to life.
Needless to say we’re very apologetic for having neglected it for so long – and for not being able to articulate its undoubted charms. We’ve placed it in our image with our Vibrant olive cotton drill fabric – and see how the olive leaves pop out from between the combination of neutral and vibrant colours in this turquoise-flowered fabric. We also think it will work wonderfully with our cyan, teal and aqua colours, as well as with ‘basic blacks’ where it would bring an outfit to life.
This is a fairly lightweight dress fabric – denser than a lawn and with a finer, heavier drape. However it doesn’t quite have the weight and opacity of some of our more substantial crepe-de-chine fabrics. It’s a polyester yarn with a very soft handle and decent opacity for its weight. We think that it would be lovely as a blouse, top or tunic, and that it would gather and hang elegantly as any of those. You could indeed use our turquoise-flowered fabric as a dress – but you’d need to have either a lining or a slip to enable it to hang properly and move against the body. It’s a stable fabric and easy enough to sew however – and has a very slightly brushed or ‘peached’ finish to it.
Our leaf-peepingly-lovely turquoise-flowered fabric is 150cm wide – there’s a ripple of new-season anticipation in every metre.
